This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MPtouch Manageear on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

Manageear is the ''settings'' app for the MPtouch device. It allows for easy configuration of settings to apply to the use of the MPtouch player. Its core settings are =

*Virtual keys = turn ON or OFF. Requires reboot

*LED keys = turn ON or OFF. Requires reboot

*Rotate = allow device to rotate screen. Instant

*Logging = records tourBuilder usage stats. Instant

*Autostart tourBuilder = starts tourBuilder at boot.

*Alarm = turn detection ON or OFF. Requires reboot.

*Home Screen mode. In case Rotate is OFF, sets the default screen orientation. Requires reboot.

*RESET batter counter. In case a new battery is inserted, this resets the device counter of charge cycles on the inserted battery

*Install APKs. Takes all APK files in /APK and /imagineear and does a quick install and reboots the MPtouch automatically afterwards. Difference between the /APK and /imagineear folder = normally 3rd party apps are stored in /APK and the core imagineear apps are in /imagineear. Use with care!

*Reboot. Quick method to reboot the MPtouch
*Shut down. Quick method to shut down the MPtouch


Although some settings are immediately applied, it is advised to reboot the MPtouch after each change in Manageear.

All settings result in a TXT file that resides in /mptouch/settings/
This folder (/mptouch/settings/) must exist on the Flash memory of the device. In case it does not, Manageear will not run correctly.
