About this app

GAMICON2019: The WesternU iBeacons app allows participants to engage in various learning activities, where each beacon used is related to a set of content that is being presented to participants based on their proximity to the beacon.

Participants will progress through the various learning activities by launching a scan process, which upon detection of a beacon in proximity will load on the participant's app the associated content related to the beacon.

The main goal is to move away from a static learning context to one that's more dynamic, interactive, and engaging.

This app was designed by Western University of Health Sciences.

New features

Gamification practices using Beacons, with the goal to create engagement through the delivery of dynamic content related to a given beacon. Participants will be able to engage with content through the use of Beacons.
