About this app

Zakat Foundation of India was established in 1997 as a grassroots level organization by concerned residents of New Delhi.

We are a Non-Governmental/Non-Profit Organization which collects and utilizes ‘zakat’ or charity for socially beneficial projects in a transparent and organized manner.

Our projects (link) include running an orphanage, charitable hospital, providing stipends to widows etc.

ONE WORLD CHILDREN'S FUND - (USA)
In October 2008, Zakat Foundation of India entered into an agreement with One World Children's Fund (OWCF; link) - a San Francisco, USA based non-profit organization.

OWCF operates in the United States to network resources to grassroots organizations around the world that serve children and their care givers.

Under the agreement, OWCF will facilitate increasing awareness and fundraising for ZFI in the United States.

This collaboration allows donors to receive U.S. Taxation benefits for their donation to ZFI, via OWCF's 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

As part of this fundraising for ZFI, 100% of funds received by One World Children’s Fund will be sent to ZFI and no part of donations will be diverted for administrative expenses of One World Children’s Fund.

The liaisons for ZFI with OWCF are Dr. Saad Mahmood (ZFI's Overseas Coordinator & Champion with OWCF), and Ms. Soumya Naidu who is Co-Champion and resides in Los Angeles, California.

NASIM FOUNDATION - (USA)

Zakat Foundation of India has a Memorandum of Understanding with Nasim Foundation (link) - a Texas, USA based non-profit organization.

Nasim Foundation aims to support ZFI projects on education of orphans/underprivileged children, and coaching/training for civil services.

CHILDREN OF HOPE & IDRF - (CANADA)

Children of Hope (link) is a non-profit organization in Canada and a partner of Zakat Foundation of India.

Mr. Sadiq Hasan serves as ZFI's Champion with Children of Hope.

International Development and Relief Organization (link) is also a project partner of ZFI and works in conjunction with Children of Hope.

MADINA TRUST - (UK)
Madina Trust is a non-profit organization in United Kingdom and a partner of Zakat Foundation of India. The Trust supports ZFI's various projects.
