This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Splashtop Personal on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Latest update has broken same network access, with the app constantly suggesting that devices are on a seperate network, which requires purchasing the remote access subscription.

Great. Love the way it mirrors my screen, giving click or mouse option. I'd like to be able to switch the audio from the app rather than on screen and also be able to switch off the screen on my phone, so it's not always wasting my battery while I'm watching on my main screen. Overall I'm really happy with this app. It beat my expectations.

Hard to give more than 3 stars after newest update. It seems that my mouse is FAR more "laggy" after update. You can disable the mouse drift by turning off acceleration in settings but that doesn't effect what seems like 0.5 to 1 second of mouse lag. It makes it hard to use because I have to consciously delay all of my inputs while the remote cursor catches up to my input. If the mouse lag cna be fixed I would be happy to give this 4 stars at least.

After the newest update, swiping on the screen while in mouse mode causes the cursor to "drift" instead of stopping as soon as the finger is lifted off the screen. If this is an intended feature there really needs to be a toggle to turn this off because it's very annoying.

Recent update changed/ruined the app. This is no longer a usable program. Things no longer work like they used to. Controlling a Windows computer, you can no longer move windows or select text to copy etc. Now looking at all other similar apps to replace Splashtop. Used Splashtop since it came out but it is no longer a good program. Splashtop needs to roll back this recent update!
