About this app

A pre-requisite to an effective tax administration is knowing who the taxpayers are, where they are located and whether they are active or inactive. Knowledge of the spatial distribution of informal sector businesses and tax compliance status is integral in improving informal sector tax assessment and efficient collection of taxes.

To address this problem, the Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) commissioned this App to develop and maintain an updated taxpayers database for Kano State.
