Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Sage Fixed Assets Scanner on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Great app! Works great to conduct a fixed assets inventory with Sage Fixed Assets Tracking. I love that I can send my fixed assets inventory to the app, verify them by scanning the assets' barcode tags using my phone's camera, and then easily send the results back to Tracking. The app also allows me to send back a photo associated with each asset - such an easy way to add photos to Tracking. Also, can quickly update up to 12 (self-chosen) asset attributes from the app. [Full disclosure: I work on the Sage development team that designed this app, so while this is all true; it is is a biased review. :-) ]

Wirelessly scan physical assets’ barcode tags and send the results into the Sage Fixed Assets—Tracking application fast and easy using your mobile device. Use the dedicated scanner on select Unitech® Rugged Android Smartphones or use your phone or tablet’s camera to scan most barcode types including QR codes. Download and work multiple inventory lists remotely. Enter or edit asset specifics like description, location, condition, and serial number. Add new assets and attach a picture right from the app.
