This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing OrangeHRM Open Source on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Despite entering the instance url as per the help page, it costantly says invalid url!? ***EDIT*** Have now managed to connect. If using iis ensure you use the archive files and not the .exe installer! Response from Orangehrm was very quick and they were eager to get me working as quickly as possible despite not having a support package with them! Very impressed! As for the app... have not yet finished testing so cant comment on overall.

Doesn't work at all. Tried accessing local orange setup and says unable to access, but works fine on Chrome without issue...

We unable to set the address due to the site address contains special characters like "_". Please advise.

I setup the server and it is the latest 4.5 running fine via web. The app states it can only connect to 4.5 onwards open source server - which is the version I am running. 5 for the web app, 0 for the android app since I can't use it.
