Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Novotek SmartKvit on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

# Starting from KitKat, the SMS handling is a bit different. SmartKvit will still get the alarms, but to have it alarm as before, we recommend to add your SCADA numbers to the exclude list of the default SMS app.
# We have seen positive results by using 'Hangout', 'EvolveSMS' and 'Sliding' - but other should work as well.

Do you mix alarm SMS from your SCADA system along with golf arrangements in the inbox on your smartphone? Novotek SmartKvit is the solution.

Application to monitor reception of SMS messages from a predefined list of phone numbers and could easily respond with the same text back.

The application is the first and most popular app in its category, designed for use with Proficy iFIX and Novotek Messenger or 7t IGSS scada systems.

When entering phone numbers, please be sure to include the country code, ex. '+45' in front of the number.

Known issues:
There are observed issues with detecting new alarms on the phone if there is also installed for example. 'GO sms'.

Note: You need a license from Novotek to send more than one per sms. time the program starts.
