Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MyNORCAL on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

About this app

NORCAL Mutual policyholders get fast, simple and convenient access to CME articles and interactive quizzes to receive credit and certificates while on-the-go or away from their computer. Policyholders can read CME materials and print/email their CME certificates right from the MyNORCAL app.

The content and functionality of this app is synchronized with NORCAL Mutual’s policyholder CME activity within MyAccount. This app requires a NORCAL Mutual MyAccount login.

Each month, the app will automatically pull in the latest issue of Claims Rx, the NORCAL Mutual policyholder source for claims-based learning and risk management advice with both clinical and administrative perspectives.

After reading an issue, policyholders can complete the post-activity quiz within the app to receive their CME certificate. Typically each Claims Rx is good for one AMA PRA Category One Credit™, as well as American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Prescribed credit. The past 24 issues of Claims Rx are available within the MyNORCAL app, so there’s always opportunity to learn and obtain CME credits.

NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide CME for physicians. NORCAL Mutual fulfilled the accreditation requirements for Accreditation with Commendation set forth by the ACCME and was awarded accreditation for six years as a provider of CME.
