Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Access Care Planning on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Good and very comprehensive but if you're more than an hour late or an hour early it won't let you sign in and you have to contact the office which is a nuisance all round especially on a weekend, if you work in domiciliary care you never know what's gonna happen so it's a bit inconvenient at times

Can not seem to check what has been added to my rota but on my friends iPhone thay can dos not see to update on mobile data no notification when calls due or that iam still sighed in

No where near as easy as calling to log. No full hours on the rota, no flexibility at all. Means I'm having to wait around all the time to please the app. And can't move. Shifts at all so if ones early or they're in the wrong order, you're having to contact the office to get it all changed where the old system adjusted itself. Massive waste of time.

Dreadful! App is forever crashing saying "app not synced" and not showing any of my rota and then I spend hours, sometimes days, trying to retrieve data. Needs urgent attention.

Couple of issue that make the app difficult to use for the pace of work in the field. First is the app does not register starting a visit even if it says you started and gives you a big green tick. This seems to be because the app requires you to then wait and sync with a server. It's clunky. Secondly when jobs get cancelled it's vital that we can see what job that was in case it was done by mistake and we know to raise it. Should be able to click on notifications to find out.

Access Care Planning provides useful updates from the regular personal care visits made. For me as next of kin its main drawback is that communication is one way only - I only see the notes written up by the carers on each visit. It would be useful to have a way of posting notes either to the carer if something is needed on next visit, or to management if some more general action is necessary.
