Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing NewsMarker Lite on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Alle lokale en regionale (online) nieuwssites van Nederland in één app. Alle media staan per gemeente op de kaart (Google Maps). Het is daardoor erg eenvoudig om -zonder NewsMarker Lite af te sluiten- te zien wat het laatste nieuws is in jouw woonplaats, werkplaats of verblijfplaats. De app kan op basis van GPS laten zien waar je bent en wat dus de dichtstbijzijnde nieuwssite is.

De app bevat regionaal nieuws, lokaal nieuws en hyperlokaal nieuws van bronnen zoals Nieuws.nl, Indebuurt.nl, dagbladen, omroepen etc.

De database is nog niet volledig, dus staat er een journalistieke nieuwsbron of een gemeente niet (goed) in de app en/of op de kaart? Dan kun je dat via de app laten weten aan de ontwikkelaar.

In de nieuwste versie (5) van NewsMarker vind je een zoekveld in de lijstweergave. Op de zoek-, informatie- en contactpagina is het menu aangepast waardoor navigeren door de app eenvoudiger is geworden.
Ondertussen staan alle gemeenten op de kaart en zijn er nieuwssite (regionaal en lokaal) toegevoegd in alle 12 de provincies van Nederland: Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant, Utrecht, Flevoland, Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Gelderland en Limburg.
