Cikang Resto & Cafe ~ The Untold Story of Padang

West Sumatra is very rich in its culture and history. Padang as the capital has a long enchanting persona particularly in food.

One of its suburbs in the area of old Chinatown is called Pondok. The old part of the harbor brought us back to the Dutch colonial time.

The restaurants serve variety of culinary experience from breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner.

In our childhood our parents frequently visited the area and there was a small coffee shop owned by Lee Chi Kwang. The shop was so very close to us we call it CIKANG. This coffee shop has transformed over generation but the memory of having coffee and breakfast in Pondok at CIKANG last forever.

Today we still enjoy the unique experience and we are happy to share it with you. The story of Cikang represents our culture and family history and this is our story.
