Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Cell Box on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Just doesn't send signal via SMS as it should. Have tried it on two android phones with same result. Have it on an IOS phone where it works properly. Needs better android programming.

About this app

This app is designed to work with BFT brand gsm intercoms version 3.5. Please note that the hold open command latches the intercom output relay on. For many gate systems which are setup for automatic closing, this will trigger the gates to open by sending a special sms code, and the gates will stay open until the unhold/close button is pressed. This command also sends a special sms string to the intercom to release the relay to its normal state.

If the installer fits a limit switch or reed switch and connects to the input on the intercom, you can use the check gate status button. This also sends a special command by sms and the intercom will reply to notify if the gate is open or closed.

The trigger gate button speed dials the gate intercom sim phone number for you. It is an easier way to open your gates than finding the number in your phone directory. If the installer had stored your phone number in the intercom memory for caller id access, then this will work.

All of these features need the default commands entered in the settings menu along with the intercom sim number before the app will work.

Note- If you are using your gates on step by step mode, and not using automatic closing mode, then the hold open and unhold buttons should not be used.

Due to Google's permission policy change, the app can no longer send SMS programming commands direct, you will be redirected to your phone's default messenger.
