This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing KACE GO Client on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If I could give it a 0, I would. For the money we spend on SMA and MDM, why can't you have a decent app? I can no longer resolve tickets in the app because the app doesn't recognize the text input for Summary and Resolution - which we require at our site for closing a ticket. I will send a ticket in (which I doubt anyone will respond to) with photo evidence. Hire someone to develop your app. We all know you have the money for it.

It's a bit rough in places, but overall it does the job. Areas for improvement: 1) It often crashes at startup. I've sent quite a few reports over a few years from the displayed dialog. 2) When a pin is entered, there is no dialog to login, it just starts spinning. The user should be prompted with a 'Next' or 'Login' button. 3) The app is built on ICS-era SDK targets. This translates to a very old UI/UX. Please consider a roadmap for building against more modern SDK levels and dropping support for almost 10 year old phones.

Would not load any of my tickets after installing the first time. I had to uninstall and reinstall. Also, why can't you go through the normal Google update process? Having to download a new app for every update is a pain! It makes it appear that your Google apps development team is completely inept! Especially after the debacle with your app last year where it was entirely useless for 6 months because it would load every single ticket I've ever owned when trying to view my open tickets.

Connected, logged in and saved the details with the required pin for easy access. Now, when I enter the pin it doesn't do anything. I can either Exit or Delete my pin. Terrible app.

The app crashes constantly for me and all of my coworkers. When it works it is an ok app, but still not great. When it does work, it is a little clunky.

Probably the most frustrating and unreliable App.ive ever seen. Have to continually uninstall and reinstall due to the unreliability of this. Most recently it just freezes after entering PIN....

About this app

The KACE GO app was created to provide access to the KACE SMA Appliance from any location, enabling IT professionals to remain effective from all corners of the workplace, across multiple office locations and even while on the road. Now IT administrators can review and respond to real-time service desk and monitoring notifications, examine inventory details and deploy software on-the-go. With the KACE GO app, IT administrators are freed from the traditional constraints of a keyboard and mouse, and are empowered to provide service and systems management support that is agile enough to keep up with the influx of new technology. While the primary functionality of the app is designed for IT administrators, it also allows end users to submit service desk tickets, access the Knowledge Base and check on existing ticket status using their mobile devices.

Note: this product requires the KACE SMA 10.1 or higher to operate. VPN connectivity may be required depending on your network configuration, you can use your preferred VPN solution to connect when you are not on the local network.
