Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Bale Collector on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Bale Collector is an eCotton product from EWR, Inc.

For use in cotton gins, Bale Collector collects bale numbers that are being loaded onto a truck and transmits them to the eCotton Remote Bale Entry Utility for TA printing.

Requires a bluetooth-enabled handheld laser barcode scanner.

Designate the number of bales per truck, and the bale list will be transmitted for TA printing automatically when that number of bales has been scanned.

You must be using the eCotton Remote Bale Entry Utility in order for you to transmit the bale list or print a TA.


MORE FEATURES:

Designed for use on a 7" tablet, mounted to a forklift.

We have tested with the Symbol LS3578-ER handheld scanner. Any scanner that supports the "HID" bluetooth profile should work with this app. Please contact us before purchasing a scanner to ensure compatibility.

New features

- Scanned bales are now kept if you exit the Collect Bales screen or the app. When you return to the Collect Bales, you will be prompted to keep or erase those bales.

- Fixed a bug that sent the scanned bales to the Remote Bale Entry Utility in scanned order instead of bale number order. This caused Remote Bale Entry to not print some bales on the TA.
