Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing DSS Workplace on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. The DSS Workplace App is intended for Suffolk County DSS staff. The DSS Workplace App features the latest information on news alerts and notifications and staff phone lists all in the palm of your hand! You can’t go wrong with this new addition to the Suffolk DSS workplace! Current features:

-Contact any DSS staff member easily by phone during work hours.

-Receive alert notifications related to weather conditions, traffic advisories, etc. in your area.

Once you download the DSS Workplace App, in order to explore our content, use your county-issue UserID and Password to log in and access the current DSS Workplace features.

New features

• App remade!
• App icon and in-app icon now use higher quality images.
• Loading is now tracked using an indeterminate orange circle instead of a determinate yellow bar.
• The initial loading of the phone list takes significantly less time to complete.
• The phone list cell format has been changed to match the iOS version. The location is now on the second line instead of the first and the text for the second to fourth lines is now smaller.
