It is not a TRUE stand-alone app because it does not store your Spotify music files in your watch. Your watch still needs to be connected to WiFi or it must have a mobile connection the whole time to be able to listen to your Spotify music collection... But if you are running outside and leaving your phone at home, how do you expect to be connected to WiFi or have a mobile connection? (Unless your watch has a built in mobile connection which is still rare among Wear OS watches). So you still need to bring your phone! I guess what I paid for is not worth it. IMO.

About this app

This is a standalone Android Wear Spotify app. With this app you can stream Spotify music directly from your wear watch. You can now leave your phone and stream music directly from your wear watch.

4 Display current speed (ideal for running and cycling, etc)

For this app to work your Android Wear 2.0 (+) watch need a WIFI or MOBILE network connection. You can use the speaker on your watch but you can also connect your Bluetooth headset (or speaker) to listen to the music stations.

For this app to work you need a Spotify Premium Account.
A first time login on your ANDROID phone (via the phone app) is required.

This app is ideal for any situation where you rather not take your phone with you. (e.g. running, cycling, etc)

The app has a nice and clean interface. The interface is basically self explanatory.
This is a must have app for any Android Wear watch owners with network capabilities !!

This app uses network streaming, therefore:

Why does this app need Location permission
This app uses the location to calculate and show you your speed. Nothing more and nothing less. After download you can choose not to give to app the location permission. Also the location provider is closed if the user changes the the app screen to anything else then the speed screen (this saves your battery). This a a paid app for friends and like minded we grantee not to use anything other then intended.
