Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Dynatrace Synthetic on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

App stops after I enter my userid and password.

I would like to have access to charts and have the ability to change the window of data summarized. The tests/summaries are for a 24 hour period. Anything more than two hours ago is a waste of my time. I have to drill pretty deep to see when errors occurred. With that said. It does everything else pretty well. I look forward to: interactive charts, ability to rotate the screen, view a report previously created.

Dynatrace Synthetic Mobile Client for Android provides a simple and quick way to navigate the wealth of synthetic performance monitoring data in the palm of your hand. The zero-configuration performance dashboards display the top 10 most active synthetic tests, where issues are automatically elevated to the top. At a glance, the dashboard gives a view of key indicators for availability and performance, how they are trending over time, as well as alerts, errors, third-party indicators and test details for contextual information.

Users can subscribe to test alert notifications from their device, drill-down into alert information when notifications occur and share critical data with other stakeholders directly from their smartphone.

Custom dashboards are easily created for personalized viewing and available on the Mobile Client. With a couple of taps and a few swipes, you can quickly check the health of your mission critical applications, isolate the cause of the problem and hand it off to the appropriate team for resolution.
