由於智慧手機的普及化，國人對於藉由智慧手機取得資訊的的習慣大增，而資訊的展現強調速度，為了符合這種現代生活習慣，故選擇以手機做為平台，嚐試有別以往的選舉文宣工作，藉由手機app成為選戰中新的資訊傳播方式。
取名【i kiku 雲端總部】的概念，i 有幾重意義，包括internet(網際網路)、instant(瞬間)、imminently(即將發生)的概念，強調這款App的特性：最新、即時、零時差。此外，我們也取i的諧音「愛」，轉化為中文的意義，讓「i kiku」就是「愛 kiku」，點出App的主題，也就是愛陳菊。
