Why should I use it?

Resumes, static applications, hours of 1st/2nd/3rd round interviews, tradeshows, conferences we have been doing hiring and collaborating the same way for centuries. Even with video interviewing technology there is still no time saved. We believe for most jobs out there hiring managers only care about two things,
(1) do they have the basic requirements to do the job?
(2) Do they fit in with the company/team (do I want to work with this person)? We cut to the chase.

Why Video?

Studies vary but most agree that at least 30% of resumes have false information. We are not arguing that you cannot lie on video, but that number dramatically reduces and most people can see the genuineness within a video. Getting a sense of trust is what matters, and video makes it a lot easier.

What should I say on the Video to candidates?

Sell them on the job but be genuine. Get them to know you, the culture of the company, job expectations, or anything else you think is important.

What should I ask the candidates?

Ask them the questions that will help you get a sense of their knowledge base and soft skills. They will be required to acknowledge that they have the basic requirements to do the job so what do you want to hear about. Do you want to hear their passion for your brand, the industry? Do you want to know that they can sell your product or speak a foreign language? Ask them the questions that matter the most to you.

Why 1 minute?

There are countless studies that indicate people can assess if they want to do business with someone within less than a second. Having candidates answer discrete questions and sell themselves in one minute is more than enough time to assess if someone is right for your needs. You don’t need to waste hours with resumes and screenings.

Why do the job posters post videos?

To get the best talent and create the best teams, employees need to know who they are going to work for. In today’s world technology has enabled a majority of gen Y and Millennials to care more about who they work for and the value they are contributing then just salary and benefits.
