About this app

HOW THE ARBITRATE MOBILE APPLICATION WORKS: The Arbitrate mobile app is intended to allow parties involved in a dispute to attempt to resolve their dispute outside of the formal legal system via mediation facilitated by a neutral, third party mediator.

The process of a Arbitrate mediation is as follows:
First, a User logs into the Arbitrate application with their Facebook information.
Second, a User accepts the Terms of Arbitrate.
Third, a User can post an overview of a dispute that they are party to and the opposing party’s contact information.
Fourth, a Arbitrate mediator reframes the dispute.
Fifth, a Arbitrate mediator engages the opposing party, via the provided contact information, at which point the opposing party will choose whether to accept the Terms of Arbitrate. The following steps occur assuming that both parties have accepted the Arbitrate Terms.
Sixth, the Arbitrate mediator explains the process of Arbitrate Mediation and both parties restate their intent to mediate the dispute. During this introduction to mediation, the Mediate mediator facilitates a conversation as to what both parties experienced and why they each feel the dispute arose.
Seventh, the Arbitrate mediator talks the parties through the steps of Arbitrate Mediation via the Arbitrate application interface. The following steps occur assuming that both parties have come to a mutual agreement as to what is a fair result of the mediation.
Eighth, the Arbitrate mediator writes up the agreement that has been reached, at which time both parties are advised to consult independent legal counsel before signing the binding agreement.
Finally, both parties sign the agreement and a successful mediation has been completed!
