This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Therapy for Verbs on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

Therapy For Verbs is a professional speech therapy app designed for children and adults who need to improve their spoken and written verb comprehension, verb retrieval and naming as well as verb production in sentences. Verbs describe what is happening rather than a person, place or thing. We use verbs all the time when we talk yet they are often overlooked in therapy and assessment.

Therapy For Verbs has 6 activities:

Comprehension

Listen: In the activity, the person is required to understand the spoken verb and match it to the corresponding picture. There is a choice of 2, 3, 4 or 6 pictures.

Read: In this activity, the person is required to read and understand the written verb and match it to the corresponding picture. There is a choice of 2, 3, 4 or 6 pictures.

Naming & Sentence Production

Repeat: This activity uses an evidence-based treatment approach called Errorless Learning. The app repeats the name of the verb 3 times and asks the user to repeat 3 times.

Describe: This activity uses an evidence-based treatment approach called Semantic Feature Analysis. There are 6 questions designed to prompt the user to describe each feature of the action/verb and ultimately improve their naming/verb retrieval.

Elaborate: This activity is based on a treatment approach called Response Elaboration Therapy. It uses 'Wh' questions (Who, What, Where, Why) to help the user to expand their answers when describing the picture.

Assessment

Verb Test: A fully customizable test which allows you to choose the verbs you wish to include. Keep track of client progress over time by emailing result summaries or by checking the in-built record of scores.
