Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing VietPepper on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

VietPepper is a mobile-first, training application developed to provide technical assistance to Vietnamese smallholders growing pepper. The training materials are part of International Finance Corporation(IFC)’s Sustainable Pepper project in Vietnam and supported by the Government of Japan to promote environmental sustainability standard compliance among growers, increase production of high-quality pepper, and enable access to high-value pepper markets.

The VietPepper training modules cover the following topics:

Module 1. Safe Use of Agrochemicals
Module 2. Integrated Pest Management
Module 3. Sustainable Pepper Production
Module 4. Harvesting and Post-Harvest Techniques
Module 5. Export Market Requirements

Training modules 2, 3, and 4 are based on the National Sustainability Curriculum for Pepper developed by the National Agriculture Extension Center at Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam, in collaboration with IDH Vietnam. Training module 3, Sustainable Pepper Production, also provides an insight into the Rainforest Alliance (RA) Sustainable Agriculture Standard.

The app features several interactive learning tools, instructional videos and quizzes to reinforce the training imparted. The content is presented in English and Vietnamese languages to cater to a wider audience. A Leaderboard displays user rank among peers to drive engagement within the app.
