About this app

This is another of those apps which you didn't know you needed; but will wonder how you ever did without.

And, if you work alone, and have to visit people you don't know; one day it might just save your life.

Simply put, it logs all the stages of a journey, either automatically when you stop for more than five minutes, or when you press a button.

So if you get paid for your time, or by the mile, this is just what you need to make your life easier.

Start the app., pop your phone in your pocket, and forget about it.

It'll note where and when you started and left from, the distance travelled, and how long it took; and then send this information to you, at the touch of a button or two at the end of the day; with a nice map of your journey to boot.

And how might that save your life?

In the paid version, there's a feature I call the "Safety Net".

If it's enabled: after you've been stopped for a while, and unless you start off again, or cancel it, a message will be sent to a number you've chosen.

That could be your supervisor, a friend or a family member, and it could be as trivial as "This date is really boring", as reassuring as "Please call me, now", or as urgent as "Get me out of here".

It all depends on you, and the circumstances in which you want to use it; but if I were an estate agent, a bailiff or midwife, (or even if I went on a lot of dates), I'd want to know it was there, watching out for me.

By the way, it's definition of "stopped" is "moving at less than 3kmh", so it's also able to tell the difference between walking and not. If you walk on your own, you might find it reassuring to keep a copy running in case you become injured.
