About this app

Paws for a Cause is an animal welfare initiative by young people in Delhi who have chosen to combine their work as animal rescuers or adoptions coordinators under a common platform. Our aim is to spread the word about homeless and abandoned animals that need loving forever homes. The process of adoption can be lengthy and difficult so our goal is to simplify things for those interested in it. If you're interested in adopting or fostering a pet do contact us at the page linked below, and if you ever need help finding an animal in need a home don't hesitate to ask us for help!

We would also like to clarify that since we are not an NGO or a company and thus do not receive funding, we do not provide rescue services and are not running a shelter or adoption centre. We do not have the resources to foster or adopt ourselves and can only facilitate the process of finding fosters or homes. We will assist however we can.

What we aim to do:

- We will spread the word about homeless and abandoned animals so that they can be adopted

-We will guide you through the process of adoption (both adopting and getting a pet adopted)

-We will help ensure that established adoption formalities are carried out and all the animals go to good homes

-We can use our combined knowledge to guide you in matters such as sterilization drives etc.

What we do not do:

-We are not an NGO or company and do not run a shelter.

-We cannot help in untimely animal rescues
-We cannot guarantee foster homes or quick adoptions

-We are not funded by any entity and cannot foster or adopt animals ourselves

-We are not here to help or promote backyard breeders. Please do not contact us if you are looking to mate your dog.

-We do not condone buying animals in any manner and form, and will not assist in looking for a pure breed puppy to purchase

Our aim is to guide anyone who needs help and to try and ensure that all animals that come to us find their perfect homes. Please remember that adoptions take time and patience is vital during this process. The coordinators working under the name Paws for a Cause also reserve the right to refuse help to anyone they wish to. We are not a company, we are a group of individuals combining our forces to do the best we can, and comments made or actions taken by any of those working under this name cannot be held against the entire group.
