About this app

As a survivor of CANCER, I understand how difficult it is to go through the journey. For me it was difficult not only dealing with the life changes but also day-to-day living, loss of independence, unable to work and fighting the good fight. But what I experienced was much more that I didn’t understand why there was such a big gap between cancer patients like myself and our immediate needs. Back in 2006, organizations were still offering so much financial support for patients, but most of this information I found online as opposed to a social worker. As the years passed, I saw more and more money being taken from programs that provided some support to patients like me.

Due to the struggles I personally faced and the fact that I was unable to return to work, I became an advocate for those who didn’t know where to turn….This is why I started UCAAN. Because those with Cancer need to know that UCAAN find the support you need, UCAAN find others who understand what you’re going through, UCAAN ask for help and UCAAN battle like a true warrior.

While our stories may be different, we all share a common bond – we have or have had cancer. No story is less important, no one should be turned away and we are here to help.

We help patients find the resources they need NATIONWIDE because we Care and know that if you ask for help UCAAN find what you need.

We don’t turn cancer patients away, Instead we believe in finding solutions that will help them. There are many organizations that turn patients away without an answer, we believe this isn’t the way to HELP others.

If you’re dealing with cancer, or know someone who is, You’ve come to the right place. UCAAN!
