Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Apex Insight on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Insight, Apex’s Mobile Device Management client, is a powerful tool that facilitates the implementation of corporate policy on mobile computing devices.

Once installed, this device application can:
- Lock down device hardware features.
- Dictate the security interface of the device.
- Enforce device settings.
- Monitor and report installed applications on the device.
- Facilitate corporate application compliance.
- Configure the device’s Email and Wifi functions.
- Push bookmarks onto the device.
- Remotely lock, unlock, or wipe the device.

This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

New features

App no longer automatically requests Administrator permissions on first run or when you are not currently enrolled but rather presents you with a breakdown of the permissions we will be requesting and why and a button to grant Administrator permissions.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an application to update device statistics.
Allows an application to install a shortcut in Launcher.
