What the hell is the pin for and how do i get one?

Can't get past he scan credentials part. Opens camera and it's refresh rate is about once every 2 seconds at best for the picture. Turns the flash on which is useless for scanning a screen and also it keeps the flash on after the app is closed. What a joke!
