Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Acumen Resources on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

About this app

Beginning with 2014/15 CPD-year the Society of Actuaries in Ireland has updated their CPD scheme, including an increase in the verifiable hours an actuary must complete in order to be CPD-compliant. Your verifiable hours requirement will be anywhere from 5 hours to 20 hours, depending on your Category.

The functionality of the App will be to provide videos and podcasts of CPD that users can count towards their annual verifiable CPD requirement (provided the content adds to their professional development). Sound output, if desired, can be streamed via Bluetooth so you can listen via car stereos or home stereo-system speakers.

Once the video has been watched, a log/record is created confirming the user has watched the video and documenting the other relevant details (length of video, topic of video, learning outcome, date and duration).

The above record/log is acceptable to the Society of Actuaries in Ireland as proof of verifiable CPD.
