This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Acorn LMS on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

The Acorn LMS app helps you access courses anytime, anywhere and on any device. Browse your content catalogue even when offline, out of office and away from your desktop. Just log in like you do on the Acorn site and return to training where you left off.

With the Acorn LMS app you can:

Submit assignments (learners) & grade submissions (admin).
Sync completed coursework between the app and your site.
Upload images, video & audio files straight from your device.
Enrol in courses while offline.

Please note this app is only available if the Mobile Access feature has been turned on in your Acorn site. The app requires the following permissions:

Record audio: To upload audio as part of a submission.
Read and modify the contents of your SD card: So you can see content downloaded to your SD card offline.
Network access: To be able to connect to your site, check your connection, and switch to offline mode.
