Подводная лодка М-104 «Ярославский комсомолец» - первая отечественная субмарина, получившая собственное имя. Лодка построена на средства (5,8 млн. рублей), собранные комсомольцами Ярославской области.
В 1943-44 годах в Баренцевом море лодка совершила 6 боевых походов. Было потоплено или повреждено транспортов противника общим водоизмещением до 30 000 тонн.
