Der BVSV Bundesverband der Sachverständigen für das Versicherungswesen e.V. ist ein Zusammenschluss natürlicher und juristischer Personen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, die auf Grund gleicher, verwandter oder sachlich zusammengehörender Zielsetzungen gemeinsame Interessen auf dem Gebiet des Sachverständigen für das Versicherungswesen bilden.

Der BVSV Bundesverband der Sachverständigen für das Versicherungswesens e.V. dient dem Schutz sowie der Förderung und der Wahrnehmung der gemeinsamen Interessen seiner Mitglieder. Hierbei sind die Adressanten seiner Aktivitäten, insbesondere die Öffentlichkeit und die staatlichen Stellen der Gesetzgebung und Verwaltung. Er steht seinen Mitgliedern mit Rat, Dienstleistungen aller Art und Hilfe zur Seite. Soweit erforderlich, erarbeitet der Bundesverband der Sachverständigen für das Versicherungswesen e.V. für seine Mitglieder Wettbewerbsregeln, die bei der zuständigen Behörde zur Eintragung kommen werden. Den unlauteren Wettbewerb in der geschäftlichen Werbung und jeglicher sonstigen Ausprägung bekämpft er mit allen Mitteln.
