This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing LuxTrust Mobile on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Was working perfectly fine for a long time, hovewer since few days I can't open the app at all. It just keeps failing at startup. Error message reports that ... my keyboard is a security concern. I'm running Samsung S10 with native english layout... UPD: After talking to the Helpdesk they said that the Google Keyboard I have installed is the issue and that I have to uninstall Keyboard. As funny as ir sounds, but it worked... UPD2: Indeed, all back to normal after update. Thank you.

Absolute nightmare. App is forced by the bank for miniature transactions despite already set up token background. The set-up is a disaster. The app requests shady permissions. Helpdesk unavailable during weekends, but payments are blocked. Instead the promised sms I received 3 notifications to stop the the procedure? Finally i had to pay from the desktop PC for a MOBILE transaction. Why do I have a token then??? Is this some sort of a social experiment? A massive inconvenience.

This app is useless. It takes forever to set it up and there are problems with the payments. There is a problem every time you try to pay for something and you have to make the payment, make the bookings, etc. over and over again, until it finally works. Takes so much time and is very frustrating. However a very good way not to spend your savings...

Works. But very bad user experience. Didn't know that I had to wait 13 hours for activation email code to enable it. This is unusual, and should be written clearly in app. Also for such codes, please don't use similar letters and numbers like mixing capital O and zero, or big i and number one and small L. Just remove these from your code generator. Also why limit to two devices? Is the risk actually higher for those of your users that currently have 2 instead of 1 device with app installed?

Horrible. Never managed to confirm any online transaction, at the point after the password is entered the web page becomes unresponsive. This happens with online shopping, paypal, airbnb etc. Tried using different browsers too, no luck.

About this app

LuxTrust Mobile – carry out your most sensitive online operations directly from your smartphone and without using any hard devices (such as the classic Token or a Scan).

WHAT DOES LUXTRUST MOBILE DO?
LuxTrust Mobile allows you to:
- Securely access our partner websites (banks, e-government, …)
- Confirm and validate online financial transactions
- Sign documents electronically directly
- Perform various operations on guichet.lu

HOW TO ACTIVATE IT?
If you already are a LuxTrust customer and have your Token or Scan at hand, simply install it and follow the steps indicated in the app.
If you are not a LuxTrust client and you want to use the app, order your LuxTrust electronic identity on www.luxtrust.lu.

HOW TO USE IT?
LuxTrust has three main modes:
- App2App: Once set-up in your banking app, LuxTrust Mobile can automatically exchange with it so that you do not need to enter an OTP (one-time password). You just have to confirm or cancel the operation. Please check with your bank how to enable this feature.

- Scan the QR code (mosaic image) when connecting to a website using a desktop or tablet: You will select LuxTrust mobile instead of the Token for instance. You can then scan the QR code displayed after entering your User ID and Password. The app decrypts the image and generates the OTP (one-time password) you need to insert on the website.

- Receive a Push Notification when accessing to our partners’ website from a desktop, tablet or smartphone. Partners’ websites having this feature enabled will automatically send you a notification asking you to confirm or cancel the specific operation. You can also find it under “Pending transactions”.

OTHER FEATURES
You can activate your LuxTrust Mobile app on a second device (like a tablet) and enable TouchID or FaceID to unlock it, for more convenience.
