Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing CentraStage on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

We have experience multiple cases where the application fails to issue the necessary remote commands (e.g. device lock, unlock, pin policy, remote wipe) in a timely manner or even at all in some cases. Battery usage is horrendous and should correspondence to constant device communication, though we have devices experiencing 20% battery drain by this one app alone that do not check in at all with the remote console until an audit is forced. I do not recommend for MDM!

Out of date. Device doesn't even report that it's online. And high battery usage.

MInimal usefulness and a huge battery drain

While I haven't spent the time fully debugging the battery drain on my Droid Turbo, this app uses way too much battery. Most of the battery use is GPS related according to the use details on Android 5.1.

CentraStage is the best SAS platform.

After installing on an iOS device and Android device I have been unable to use the application. On the admin portal there is no option to send the requested file for Android and the request for iOS never gets sent. Would be great if a Dev could help with this.

This agent forms part of our Android management capabilities and needs to be used together with device enrolment from your CentraStage account. Android management includes:

Sign up for a free CentraStage account at www.centrastage.com. Once logged in to your account you will need to activate the MDM Extension from the CentraStage ComStore to enable the management of mobile devices. Once complete you can add an Android device to your account by sending an enrolment mail to the user. As part of the enrolment process the user will be directed to install this app.
