隨著台灣人口結構朝向高齡化社會與生活型態變遷下，健康照護產業已成為新世紀台灣產業中的明星產業。而國內各相關機構、學協會對於健康照護議題也日益重視，並常舉辦各類學術研討會。為集合各方之資源並建構相關團體之交流平台，社團法人台灣醫務管理學會結合財團法人醫院評鑑暨醫療品質策進會及台灣醫院協會，將資源整合建構統一平台，共同輪流籌劃「健康照護聯合學術研討會」，並將台灣醫事學術發展及國際接軌視為共同執行目標，祈築構醫學界彼此交流的學術殿堂，為民眾健康照護福祉努力播種耕耘。

自2007年首屆大會由社團法人台灣醫務管理學會(本學會)承辦，每年聯合大會皆獲各界人士熱烈響應。2016年，由本學會第四度承辦，誠摯邀請各界先進蒞臨參與。
