Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Open Vlaanderen on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

'Open data' betekent dat niet-persoonsgebonden gegevens beschikbaar zijn in voor iedereen leesbare formaten. Open data is openbaar, elektronisch beschikbaar en het maakt gebruik van open standaarden, zowel voor het aanbieden als voor het ontsluiten van gegevens.

Open Data, het vrijgeven van data voor hergebruik door burgers en bedrijven, staat ook bij de Vlaamse overheid hoog op de agenda. Hogere transparantie, hogere efficiëntie en innovatie zijn de drie belangrijkste doelstellingen waarom de Vlaamse regering een voortrekkersrol wil spelen in het verhaal van Open Data.

De Data Days 2014, een driedaagse conferentie in Gent, stond in het teken van Open Data. De conferentie bood een unieke kans om te ontdekken hoe lokale besturen open standaarden gebruiken om informatie-uitwisseling zo efficiënt en effectief mogelijk te maken, en zo te kunnen besparen, terwijl een betere dienstverlening gegarandeerd wordt.
Naar aanleiding van deze conferentie werd er ook drie hackatons georganiseerd. Een van deze hackatons had als opdracht een Mobiele applicatie te maken met de gegevens van de VKBO, de verrijkte kruispuntbank voor ondernemingen, en gegevens van Cultuurnet, een “Uit in Vlaanderen” netwerk. Dit zou dan meteen een applicatie opleveren die in gans Vlaanderen werkte.
Er waren 18 deelnemers aan de hackaton wat uiteindelijk 4 volwaardige applicaties opleverde.
De jury bekroonde de applicatie “Open Vlaanderen” van het bedrijf “Appreciate “als winnaar.
