This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing PPI Data on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

PPI Data is a free app that can run on any android device. The app has multiple forms that collect and analyze demographic and standard-of-living data. PPI Data is particularly useful for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in collecting and tabulating Progress Out of Poverty and Health Outcome Performance data for thousands of households. The forms have simple, verifiable questions with prefilled prompts and edits to ensure accurate data collection and coding. The app automatically generates a poverty index score for the household. This data is stored in a web based database in the cloud. The PPI Data app also has the capability to store information onto the device if internet connection is not available. It automatically synchronizes the data from the device onto the web database when internet connection becomes available. This is very useful in collecting data in remote places where internet connection may be unreliable. Several excel based reports have been developed from the data stored and are tailored to individual NGO organizations.

This app dramatically reduces the cost of data collection for the NGOs and enables them to create programs and services directed toward meeting the needs of the poor.
