Bought this drone as a crash test dummy before investing in a more expensive one. The setup is pretty simple and straightforward, so long as you remember the following: 1) The drone must be turned on FIRST so it can be located via the wifi connection on your phone. Then it should show up on the list. Once you're connected, go to the app. If you see the camera working, it's ready to go. If not, the phone linked up with something else. In my case, the phone kept dropping the drone and picking up on my router. 2) Be VERY gentle with the controls until you get used to them. The program defaults to having the throttle on the left and directional controls on the right, though you can switch them if necessary. I wish I had a dollar for every time I crashed the poor thing. 3) The manual advises you to charge the battery via laptop of computer. If you try to plug the USB into a regular socket, it can ruin the battery. Fortunately, you can get a set of 5 plus a charger on Amazon for a decent price if you do a little searching. And speaking of the battery, the charge doesn't last terribly long so don't send it off too far away for too long. Some of the controls are a mystery, I haven't been able to figure out what they're for and the manual is of little help. There's a control that lets you use the tilt of the phone to maneuver the drone, but that's a level of dexterity that may be beyond me for now. I think this could be a fun little device if I stick with it. The camera is nothing spectacular, but as I said before I just want to practice with it before I invest in a higher grade of drone. But the skimpy instructions mean a lot of trial and error until I figure much of it out. I think that's the biggest drawback overall. If you're an RC nerd, though, you can endure.

Got this drone as a free gift at a store by spending $50 or more. I didn't expect much from it so this review won't be very harsh. The drone charged pretty quickly. The app installation was easy. The instructions that came with the drone are very straight forward with lots of pictures - also more details on how to use this App. To my surprise, it actually works! Yes, the camera/video is grainy but it's a cheap drone. I've crashed it a couple of times and I think it has some sort of automatic shut-off but I disconnected the battery and re-connected it and it started working again. The controls are a bit sensitive but it's a fun little toy to play with.

Since this app is tied to the drone I'll give my impressions on both. for the $5 I paid it's awesome. The app isn't perfect but get the job done. For the connection to be reliable you have to change the phone setting that disconnects from Wi-Fi when it has no signal. At least on my phone I had to then turn off LTE . No problems with the software after that. Fun, cheap "drone" and I like it a lot.

drone disconnects easily even when in range, my drone disconnected and got a mind of it's own and flew higher and higher until I could not see it it also hot caught in a cross wind and flew so far away I could not see it or find it ever again. UNINSTALLING this app it is garbage!

Absolute garbage! App would not connect to the drone after downloading and installing twice. Followed instructions connected to the drone with my phone via Wi-Fi but the app was never any help, take the drone back & get your money back!
