This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing MyT by Toyota on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

It looks like a startup effort to create it's first ever app connected to a car not an app developed by a giant like Toyota: a 220 km trip is displayed as a 120 or even 20 km trip; you're asked to connect a multimedia device even if you're not having such a feture and Toyota knows your vin number; if you're shutting down your car quickly after a trip the app shows that your car is moving even hours later; functionalities are so limited and basic.

The first month I had the car I would have easily given 5 stars, the app would quickly show the route I had just taken and the car would show exactly where it was parked all within minutes. But the past 2 weeks I have had to delete and then reinstall my car on the app twice because it would show the car parked in the last place before the app froze and any journey after that would be lost and now it takes ages to show the last journey and it shows the car is moving when it's been parked for ages

So far so good. It would be nice to see more stats for journeys, such as fuel and electric consumption for the trip, lock/unlock doors

Poor integration with maps and phone on android. When internal map finds a location (not always) and I send it to the car, the acquisition process is very slow. Very slow. Very small interaction with the car indeed. No remote function (open/close/sound signal). No geek data to discover what sensors of your car record (some tech analytics would be very cool). A poor experience. The app is in common with BMW. These car companies are good in car making but so poor in building customer experience.

I am being told that "this version is no longer supported, please download the latest update". I tap on the "Download Now" button, only to enter a loop which tells me to Open, and then goes back to " this version is no longer supported....etc." MyT is thus rendered useless. What's the point of having it?

I am using the application with my Highlander hybrid and it has very limited functionality, you can't open, close the doors, I can't start the engine, sometimes or better said most of the time I can't log in the app
