本作では従来の戦略ゲームとは異なり、
計策を獲得すると誰でも簡単に策を講じることができる新感覚計策コレクションRPGとなっている。


【三十六計にめぐる壮大な世界観】
中原は乱れ群雄割拠の時代を迎えた。
しかし、襄陽に君臨し天下を統一する明主は未だ現れない。
水鏡先生は『三十六計』を得る者が天下を手にし、
大陸全土を震撼させると諸侯に説いた。
若き将軍は無名の地から立身し、奇策を得意とした。
そして山河を呑み込み、四海に覇を唱える志を抱いた。
将軍は義軍を募り、雄途に就かんとする。
この時より新たな時代へと歴史の歯車が動き出す！


【乱世を制するため、君に一策を求める】
水鏡先生の呼びかけに応えた人々が、『三十六計』を巡って紛争を起こし、
天下が三分とされ再び混乱の時代を迎えた。
プレイヤーは若き将軍となり、志のある英雄たちを率いて『三十六計』を探し、
乱世を終える旅に出かけた。


【特性に合わせた武将育成】
武将はそれぞれの特性によって騎兵、弓兵、または盾兵を率いる。
専用の宝物や軍馬を装着することで、特性を最大限に発揮できる。


【RPG×ストラテジー】
本作では、ストーリーに従って兵を集い、
お城の建設によって勢力を拡大していくという流れの中に『三十六計』を一つずつ集め、
戦況に応じて使用するというのが最大の特徴だ。
ゲームを進めていくとことで計策の数を増やし、
手に入れた計策を組み合わせて使うことで、多様な戦略を生み出すことが可能だ。


【三国時代ならではの『三十六計』】
諸葛亮を知るエピソード「空城の計」、呂布の恨みを引き出す「美人計」、
そして赤壁の戦いにおける「苦肉計」など、歴史上活躍した計策に関する話が充実。


【やりこみ要素満載】
三分された国のうち、同じ勢力に属する仲間と協力し合い、敵対勢力と争うことになる。
そのため常に敵の動向に注意しつつ、兵力を保った上の計策、運用が勝利の鍵となる。
プレイヤーはゲームを進めることで「一騎当千」や「一策天下」など味わうことができ、
王にまで君臨することもできる。
