I enjoyed the hints system, because I want to experience a game and sometimes I am prepared to solve a problem but sometimes I just can't be bothered and this system allowed my to do that. However it meant I played the game almost exclusively on the map and the hint system, which meant I got no sense of story. I intend to play BC 2 and will try a more traditional approach. Recommended. RonB

Nov 2020. The app started getting glitchy, e.g. the flower from the forest disappeared & another object did when I tapped them. I uninstall & reinstall Syntaxity games to replay them again & again but can't this one with this problem. Very challenging. Alot of rooms, puzzles, mystery finds.

I can't believe I haven't rated this before. I really thought I had. This game, just like all of the syntaxity games is amazing. The graphics and the running story along with challenging puzzles and beautiful art work. I play these games to help with my mental health conditions, and I have to say syntaxity are by far the best for escaping, the world's within the games are so we'll made they almost feel reel. I can't wait for Blackthorn 2, and I hope there will be many more to come

Got a little way into it and found out you had to pay for some of the puzzle just nonsense so I uninstalled it :(.

Very good puzzles. The fact that you have to pay separately for every bit of help is kinda nonsense, but otherwise it's good. Don't rip people off, just come up with one even price for all of it and call it a day. Not too many people will like to have thier credit card run three times.

The game is a fun, mystery type adventure but it has a terrible ending. Finding the last item should be more fun than it actually was. The biggest disappointment is "the story" which is unexplained and leaves the player with nothing at the end.
