Brilliant take on the match three puzzle questing genre! FTP games are the only type that I accept needing a monetization model but I find most to be egregious and greedy making the games a horrid grind from paywall to paywall. This is not it however. Rogue lites are already grindy and slow but rewarding along the way and they've maintained that very well. You can pay to speed up or just to support a great game but there's no need to for progression.

Really fun game. Simple to learn but a good amount of strategy as enemies get harder I only have two complaints. First, the gear in the shop gets better way too slowly if you don't buy stuff. I often find myself late in the game with 100s of 1000s of gold and nothing to spend it on. Second, there's a lot of mechanics that aren't explained anywhere. For example, there seems to be a hard cap on skill cooldowns that's never mentioned. I assume this will improve since the game is still in dev.

If I could change just one thing in this game, it would be that your hit points effect the next color. So if I have 64 yellow hit points and use 30 of those to kill a monster, the other 30 should be used on another yellow monster that's available. Not just go to waste. Or use some rage feature where all extra points that are lost stack up. Otherwise, I love this game honestly. It's a relaxation game.

So it's a fun game but they give you no real tutorial. If you have played similar games you can read their tutorial and figure out the basics. However there is nothing to teach you about how to use the runes level up characters learn what the different stats affect etc. I'm still playing it because it IS fun once you get the hang of it but gave the low rating for the difficult learning curve.

I would give 5 stars because this game is very addicting and fun! Only 4 stars though because there are just way to many commercials. I gave to watch an add just to get to the next wave....not to mention the "free" items don't work. I'll watch your adds, but at least reward me for doing so.

Getting past level 20 is proving to be a pain in the ass. So far the only character worth leveling in my opinion is the archer because she can hit multiple targets of the same color and it doesn't split the damage It's total damage to each of them which makes things nice
