I beat it in like 30 minutes, but it was actually really fun. It really feels like a classic NES game, with graphics that remind me of Phantasy Star. The idea is brilliant and couldn't have been better (I'll admit the controls weren't perfect, but for a short game, it doesn't really matter). The music and enemy movements changed every 7 waves, which was, I think, a good idea for the few sprites that were in the game. The bosses, though easy (the second one a little tricky), were cool. Really good game, seriously. Edit: Went for hard difficulty and got to level 21...then this appeared: "Error" "boss.lua:679: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'yvel' (a nil value)" "Traceback" "boss.lua:679: in function 'update' boss.lua:140: in function 'update' scene.lua:644: in function 'update' main.lua:192: in function 'update' [C]: in function 'xpcall'". Pretty interesting to see a traceback error in an actual app. Kinda cool I found it though, I like to see it as a good thing. :)

Nice idea, good implementation, but a bit boring and repetitive. Fun for a couple of minutes.
