About this app

Hello Gruffalo

Bring the Gruffalo and his friends to life and meet them in augmented reality!

Please Note
This is a pilot project designed for use in children’s hospitals and is therefore only currently available to patients and their families.

Outside of this pilot, this app allows you to visit Mouse in Augmented Reality – print out the ‘mouse marker’ footprint sign at home and aim your device at the marker to bring the Mouse to life.

About the Hello Gruffalo

Brought to you by Magic Light Pictures, children seek out footprint signposts on an interactive trail of their favourite characters, based on The Gruffalo, the best-selling picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

Once children and their grown-ups have spotted the footprint signs, they can use the app to bring the 3D character animations to life and take photos alongside them.

Photos are automatically added to the device’s gallery, from where it can be shared via social media with the hashtag #HelloGruffalo.

This app mixes technology with the real world, firing children’s imaginations and enabling them to meet their favourite characters from the classic book and film.

The Hello Gruffalo app was developed and animated by Nexus Studios and is available for free with no in-app purchases.

**NOTE. Please ensure you've backed up the photos taken using the app before deleting it. If you have any queries please contact office@magiclightpictures.com before doing so.

**

Hello Gruffalo has been developed for Android 7.0 and later. Previous versions of Android may not be fully supported.
