Samurai (サムライスピリッツ) also know by the name hin Samurai Supirittsu Haōmaru Jigokuhen is the name of a versus fighting game series.


Despite the name of the series, most of the characters are not samurai showdown in the true sense of the word. In Japan, the name of the series is officially in katakana, but is alternately written in kanji ( Samurai Damashii ), with the second character pronounced supiritsu, "spirits", to better reflect the game's setting.


The "Spirit System" comprises of 6 different sub-systems, these sub-systems give you a variety of options ranging from more Offensive/Defensive/Charging Meter, or a higher level of attack beyond Heavy Slash. This section will explain (in detail) what each sub-system does and why you should or shouldn't use it.
