Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Celine's Castle on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. About this app

You play a lone solider defending your tower while the enemies approach. With three different types of ammo, you hunker down taking out all who approach by land or by air.

Pick the playing level you want. Waves and waves of marauding soldiers, tanks and planes attack your base. Or an endless constant stream of roughnecks giving you no rest. Be careful of your ammo supplies, they increase slowly and you can easily run out as the enemies overwhelm your location.

This is the third test project I've create for Android... and the first one that makes use of libGDX's runtime library. Its the second one that uses the Box2d physics engine. Many of the sounds are in the public domain. Their origins are documented in the application info screen.

Still left to do: A few tweaks to the graphics, will attempt to finally bring Celine into the game itself. A better defining of waves and adding achievements. There are in-app ads and no plans of yet to create a non-ads version.

PERMISSION AND OTHER NOTES:
This app uses 2 permissions... internet access and access to network state. Both permissions are needed by the ad service. AdMob is the ad service in use, with no secondary ad channels. Preferences are backed up via the standard android backup service, so high-scores should be saved between devices. Analytics are used to track how long people play, and which play style they prefer.

Upgrade includes reducing amount of bodies that hang around which should help with over-heating.

Tanks now require 2 hits. Lets see how your high-scores remain now.

Soon, more graphics for explosions and more optimizations to reduce battery abuse.
