I have to be honest, I'm not normally a fan of these types of games. Aerial combat doesn't usually do it for me. However, Rockstar Alien Killers bucks this personal opinion by being a truly addictive gem. The premise of the game is pretty much as the author describes - kill an invasion of aliens using a selection of unlockable aerial vehicles and increasingly powerful weaponry. Do as much damage as you can before your fuel runs out or before you die. Killing aliens releases coins which can then be spent in the in-game shop upgrading weaponry and tougher, faster and more maneuverable vehicles. Your initial plane is cumbersome and rather weak, so there is a strong desire to upgrade quickly. The plane control is superb and has been very well thought out, with just two buttons controlling the arc of the plane, and another two activating your primary and secondary weapons. The planes movement is similar to that of a real plane, and you feel the weight of the vehicle fighting gravity as it heads up to the sky, and speeding up dramatically when plummeting back towards the ground. With beautiful graphics and wonderous gameplay, I cannot recommend this game enough.
