The game seems very rough around the edges. Here are some of the mechanical
issues I have observed. Some of the doors are offset or have inconsistent
animations. There's a blind spot after traversing a vertical door, which
will kill you if you didn't notice the mines behind it prior to passing
through the door. The joypad is occasionally unresponsive and I could be
wrong, but the mines feel like the occasionally clip the ship in strange
ways. Regarding the gameplay, I have also made a few observations. To put
it bounty, the game is boring in its current state. There are unnecessary
grace periods where nothing happens and aside from mines and doors, very
little is happening on screen. Currently, the only reason to collect coins
is to improve your end score. However these coins are only worth a single
point, the equivalent of a short distance. I feel better rewarded for being
risk averse and focussing on survival than to go out of my way and collect
these coins. Not bad for a first release but hopefully there is room for
improvement.
