Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Monster Invasion AR on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

An Augmented Reality game made for my masters project, so don't expect a full and perfect game.

Note: You can either open the map in full screen on your computer screen, secondary tablet / phone or TV, or you can print it out. If you choose to print it out, we highly recommended that you print it in colors for much better recognition of the map while playing.

Instructions
Hold your phone/tablet over the map to start the game.
Some objects will appear on the screen and you can hover the phone/tablet freely over the map.
Double-tap the screen to bring up the interface (Shoot-button and text).
Single-tap to focus camera on the map.
Kill all the monsters. Some monsters require more shots before they are terminated.

To replay the game, close the app and start it again.
Better gameplay, bugfixes and updates are hopefully on the way soon.

Problems and solutions
Problem: Unable to see any Augmented Reality objects.
Solution: Try holding your device still about 8-20 inches (20-50 cm) above the map. If it still does not work, move it completely away from the map, and back again. Also, ensure there is light on the map.
