Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing ZOLEO on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

So firstly my device died while out using it... Fails to charge and overheats, not good for a safety device. Zoleo has been painless in its replacement however. I pay $50 a month for an unlimited plan.. Now they finally introduced automatic tracking.. But want $6 more a month for that, when it's a standard feature with bivy or inreach. It also seems this location sharing+ requires your family/friends to install there app, and that's a non starter. There is no web page to send them too.

Like others, I couldn't at first get the App to accept my phone number .. Keeps giving error message .. Finally connected with afterhours Tech Support who were very helpful, walked me through what I needed, and now I'm set up and ready to go .. :)

Same here. Get error when I try to submit my phone number. Have tried multiple times and reinstalled app.

Was planning to buy a Zoleo today at REI, and figured I'd test the app first. Glad I did. Immediately on trying to set up my cell phone number which is step 1, I ran into issues with errors. Only once did it not give me an error code to send an SMS to my phone, but when entering that code to get to step two, I received another error code. It ain't even resend the SMS code when selected. Sad to say this, but I'm pick up the InReach instead. No clue why this doesn't work. Really disappointing.

I love my Zoleo. We live off grid and almost 100 km from the nearest cell signal in Northern BC. It is a life saver, I can stay in touch with our kids. We loved it so much we purchased a second one for my husband. No we can stay in touch with each other when either one of us is out and about. A truly amazing safety measure.

I'm a roadside assistance tow truck driver and frequently operate in areas with little or no cell phone coverage. Being able to not only keep in touch with my office and family, but in the event of an emergency be able to reach out for assistance is great. Highly recommend.
